FLSR Mobile

Finish Line Shell Repair Mobile was built around a simple reality: sending boats out for repair is time-consuming, expensive, and disruptive. Programs lose training time, absorb transport costs, and often delay necessary work longer than they should.

That’s why we bring the repair shop to you. Finish Line Shell Repair Mobile delivers professional, on-site composite repair directly to your boathouse—minimizing downtime, controlling costs, and keeping your fleet on the water.

How It Works

Finish Line Shell Repair Mobile brings our professional boatman and equipment directly to your boathouse to complete small, high-impact repairs without removing boats from your program. This service addresses damage that affects performance and longevity but does not require a full refurbishment.

Typical mobile repairs include:

  • Knicks and surface damage
  • Dings and dents
  • Cracks
  • Small punctures

All repairs are completed on site, either inside your boathouse or in a semi-contained pop-up repair tent, weather permitting. Work is completed over a multi-day process, depending on the number of boats serviced, allowing shells to be rotated efficiently while minimizing training disruption.

The result is structurally sound, cosmetically clean work—completed faster and more cost-effectively than shipping shells out for repair.

Paint & Finish

Paint is the most technically challenging part of any shell repair. For mobile work, Finish Line brings a portable paint booth, compressor, and professional painter to properly finish repairs on site while protecting the surrounding hull.

In some cases, spray paint is used to provide the quickest and most cost-efficient repair, particularly for small or localized damage where structural integrity—not cosmetic perfection—is the priority.

Because mobile conditions do not allow for full spray-room control, exact paint matching and perfect blending cannot be guaranteed. We prepare in advance to match colors as closely as possible, but variations in lighting, temperature, paint age, and manufacturer finishes make flawless matching impossible in a mobile environment.

If a complete color match and seamless blend are required, the shell must return to Finish Line for in-shop finishing under controlled conditions.
