When it rains – it pours

A week ago today I had a conversation with Dan. It went something like this

“Dan…bro…I’ve been swamped at home and with Grace, Emily, the house and the business I don’t have a ton of time promoting Finish Line right now.”

“Don’t worry about it.”

“I do worry about it – but October might be slow.”

Well…it was slow for about 5 minutes.

When we arrived at the Charles (with a full trailer) we were immediately connecting with coaches and rowers. When we returned on Monday a call came in from GW, Georgetown, Capital Rowing Club and Baltimore Rowing Club. Boom! Out of nowhere we have 4 repairs that require immediate turnaround and a single repair that needs to be complete before the season ends!

Along time ago (well, 9 months ago) we thought we would repair 8 boats a month. This week alone we have 5 shells coming in for work.

I’m glad our team can handle it.

As we approach the end of the racing season all the coaches and parents want to make sure their equipment is up to speed for the spring season – the worst thing you can do is contact Finish Line at the end of February with dozens of repairs to complete by March 1st.
